LIST OF ILLUSTRATION:
I. “Molecular Cell”. MGH Cancer research team.
Molecular Cell magazine cover
Until maybe seven years ago, cancer researchers’ primary focus was on killing or inhibiting the growth of active, rapidly dividing cancer cells. Lately, they’ve started looking at the significance of recently discovered dormant cancer cells. Recent work has shown that these cells are resistant to radiation and chemotherapy, and can lie dormant for many years — potentially seeding cancer recurrence. A team from Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Cancer Research and Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School recently discovered a pathway that they think may be the “Achilles heel” for dormant cancer cells.

"Empire of Lights"
In the urban environment of the city, sky is a luxury. This mural, inspired by Rene Magritte "Empire of Lights", is attempting to create an artificial reflection of the sky in the brick surface of the entrance to the building, which brought more light and interest in the space.
Art Residency at the Industry Lab, Fall 2015.
"Birds"
The environmental change is the constant menace, which brings all the other anomaly to the flora and fauna in the world. Birds are affected by this change as well.
This graffiti mural was painted during Annual graffiti festival in New Briton, MA. Fall 2014.
"Ghosts"
Every culture has a story of veils between the worlds being thin. In Mexico, "Dia de los Muertos" is a day of remembrance, but what is the real meaning behind the modern "Halloween"? The mural was done in time for Halloween. It commemorates the dead by celebrating death. It is the image of fight in the memory of Wars (from ancient time to present, to future) and suffering it inflicts upon the individual.
The imaginary war could not be fought by anyone but skeletons, those who transcend the past and the present. Just as in "Dia de los Muertos" characters, skeleton fighters don't take themselves very seriously.
The mural was created with UV paint lit by black light. Different translucency of pigments created difference in value, which in return made the space feel more three dimensional.

“Animaly” is a series of paintings about unlucky accidents in Genetic engineering. These depictions are human chimeras, half-human/ half-beasts, deformed, confused, unaware and displaced in time.
The paintings were inspired by Margaret Atwood's "Oryx and Crake".
I wanted to talk about the fear which exists in all of us, but also a beauty of imperfection, of animal spirit, so seemingly lost and primitive in comparison to the sophistication of our highly advanced technological world . . . but at the same time so wise.

Displacement
This project is about the "displacement" of the individual in a new culture. I am experimenting with different mediums: graphic, installation, programming to invent a new language and a new environment for us to exist in. Through my experimentation I am attempting to misplace, juxtapose and change scale — to re-contextualize the three elements: figure, architecture and language to change our perception.

Echo
It is an installation designed to communicate a variety of contexts associated with time and space. The "infinity" effect helps the viewer and the participant notice many delayed self reflections in a single moment.
The video feedback occurred when the video camera was pointing into the projector. The output of the camera is delayed in time, then projected onto the vellum screen positioned between the projector and the camera.

Quilt
The "Quilt" was inspired by internet dating. Through multiple depictions of i-chat windows the audience can trace a romantic relationship where the nonsensical short sentences are juxtaposed with images of the couple in the private moment of exchange.
The piece was shown in Boston and UK. In later versions the sound element was added.

New Book
With advancement of technology, we become more and more dependent on it. I notice how absorbing and aggressive its role can be in our contemporary lives. As much as I am interested in it, I am wondering if we are becoming "slaves" to it. To address these issues I created an installation teaching the i-mac how to read.
